i’m a big fan of Osea body oil and Water Cream, so when I got the chance to test their latest launch, SeaGlow Night Serum, I jumped at the chance. I was curious to see if it would live up to its claims of boosting radiance and smoothing skin overnight. I usually don’t have too much trouble with my skin, but I do struggle with congestion in my forehead and nose, as well as discoloration. Below is my review of my new must-have night treatment.
Presented in an opaque glass packaging, the serum is packed with ingredients that resurface your face like a peel.
Alpha-hydroxy acids: This chemical exfoliator gently removes dead skin cells to reveal smoother, more even skin underneath.
Phytic acid: Free radicals attack your skin all day, damaging cells, causing inflammation, accelerating the aging process and reducing collagen levels. This acid acts as an antioxidant, which means it neutralizes free radicals and protects the skin. It also helps get rid of blackheads and reduces the appearance of large pores by removing calcium buildup.
Fermented Shiunko Oil: Studies show that this oil repairs the skin barrier, soothes irritated skin and reduces redness.
The combination of these ingredients in the Seaglow Overnight Treatment exfoliates dead skin cells and hydrates your skin. When you wash off the treatment in the morning, your skin is softer, clearer and more radiant.
Plus, there’s a reason why this treatment is applied at night. Sleep is not only necessary for your mind and body, but also for your skin. While we sleep, our skin resets and creates new cells to replace older ones. the cell regeneration process also means that your skin is better able to absorb any products you apply at night, so you wake up to plump, radiant and smooth skin in the morning.
Me in the morning after rinsing off the serum.
The creamy gel formula is lightweight and glides on your skin. It soaks into your skin quickly, so you don’t have to worry about residue transferring to your pillowcase. Additionally, there is no stinging or prickling sensation upon application, unlike other acid treatments. I have tested the serum three times over the past few weeks. The first time was during a facial at Rosewood Miramar and the second and third time at home as part of my daily skincare routine. Each time, I noticed a difference when I woke up.
If you suffer from dull, uneven skin and hyperpigmentation, I highly recommend incorporating this serum into your regimen. The serum delivers brightening results without dryness or irritation, and with regular use, you’ll notice those stubborn dark spots fade away.
